"Food was okay, but the packaging made me a little uneasy"
My order arrived on time, and the food itself was fine, but the packaging wasn’t the best. The bag was slightly torn, and one of the sauces had leaked inside, so I had to clean everything up before eating. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it did make me a bit concerned about how secure the food was during delivery. Better packaging would definitely make me feel more comfortable ordering again.

"I’ve been using takeaway.com for a while now..."
I’ve been using takeaway.com for a while now and my account has been easy to deal with. Logging in is quick, my saved address is still there when I need it, and my order history shows up like it should. Nothing fancy, but that’s the kind of stuff I appreciate. Even if there’s the odd little hiccup here and there, it’s never been enough to bother me. Overall, no real complaints.

"Am I missing something with these updates?"
The food was fine, but the delivery updates made no sense. It still said my order was being prepared while the driver was already outside, and then I got a delay notification after the food had been delivered. Am I missing something here? The notifications were basically useless and annoying.

"Tracking was actually spot on"
I ordered dinner through Takeaway.com and, i was kind of expecting the usual mess where the tracking says one thing and the food shows up whenever. I was already preparing myself to be annoyed and probably expect an apology if it was way off again, but the updates were actually really accurate.
It showed when the restaurant started preparing the order, when the driver left, and the arrival time kept adjusting close to real time. The food arrived maybe 2 minutes later than it said, which is nothing. It was just nice not having to sit there guessing where my order was.

Ordered through Takeaway.com my snap judgment was: this is already a win. The driver showed up way faster than I expected, and the food was still hot when it arrived. No waiting around, no hassle, just a really smooth, quick delivery.

The food itself was fine, no real complaints there. But the payment options were such a hassle. My card failed twice, and there wasn’t an easy backup option, so I just had to stand there trying to stay patient while I was already hungry. Not exactly the kind of patience I wanted to be forced into.

"Driver ended up on the wrong street again"
The driver couldn’t find my address again because the map sent them to the wrong street. I’m sitting there thinking, “Not this again,” because this has happened before. It’s frustrating having to explain where I am when the address should just take them to the right place.

"Am I the only one who finds refunds way harder than they should be?"
Am I the only one who thinks getting a refund for a messed-up order shouldn’t feel like a whole project? My order showed up missing about half the food, and dealing with support was frustrating. They were slow to reply and kept asking me for the same info, even after I’d already sent photos. I did eventually get some money back, but it took days and I felt like I had to keep chasing them. Not the best experience.

"Really disappointing dinner"
I ordered dinner from here it was poor. The chips were soggy, the burger tasted like it had been sitting around for a while, and everything showed up barely warm. I could not even finish it. Definitely did not feel worth the money

I ended up canceling my order, and it was a lot easier than I expected. The refund came through without any back-and-forth or hassle. Even if it had taken a little longer, I wouldn’t have minded much, but it was handled really fast.

"Okay delivery, but felt a bit like just a ticket number"
Used takeaway last night and the food showed up on time, which was nice. The main dishes were right, but one side was missing and we got the wrong drink. Not the end of the world, but it’s still frustrating when you’ve paid for everything. I called the restaurant and they did fix it, though it took a while and made me feel a bit like just another ticket number being pushed through. Overall it was fine, just not quite right. 3 stars.

"I thought the delivery fee was going…"
I thought the delivery fee was going to make the order feel way too expensive, so I almost skipped it. Turns out it was lower than I expected, and I kind of regret waiting. Overall, happy with the experience.

"Too pricey for what it is"
I used to order from Takeaway.com often, but lately it just feels hard to justify the cost. The menu prices already seem higher than what I’d pay at the restaurant, and then the delivery and service fees get added on top.

By the time I checked out, my simple meal ended up costing way more than I expected. For that price, I was hoping it would at least be a decent portion and arrive hot, but it was small and only lukewarm.

I don’t mind paying a bit extra for convenience, but this feels like too much. If I’m watching what I spend, I’d rather pick it up myself or order from somewhere that feels like better value.

"Support took forever and the terms changed"
I waited ages to get a response, and when I finally tried to get help, support pretty much ignored the actual problem. On top of that, the terms seemed to change along the way, which made the whole thing even more frustrating. Really not a great experience.

I ordered through takeaway.com and chose contactless delivery. The food arrived on time, which was good, but the driver still rang the bell and waited at the door, so it didn’t really feel contactless at all. It wasn’t a big deal, but it kind of defeats the purpose. The food itself was fine, so overall I’d say it was an okay experience, just not exactly what I expected.

"Promo codes are hit or miss"
I’ve tried using a promo code a couple of times now, and both times it looked like it applied at first, then somehow vanished when I got to checkout. I reached out to support and basically got told that it happens, which wasn’t exactly helpful. Makes you think twice before counting on any discount in the app.

"Points sounded better than they felt"
I thought the loyalty points would make my regular orders feel like a better deal, but it’s a bit underwhelming. They do add up eventually, so I guess that helps, but I kind of felt misled about how much cheaper it would actually make things.
